What is semi-permanent make-up?
Long-lasting pigments are applied to the surface layer of skin with the aim of helping to define and enhance natural facial features. The pigments are implanted using microfine needles, a process which is also known as micropigmentation or cosmetic tattooing. The effects gradually fade over time, depending on factors such as age, exposure to sun and general skin care; however, top-ups can rectify this.
Which areas can be worked on?
Each of the following constitutes a single area: upper eyeliner | lower eyeliner | lip liner | eyebrow shading
What happens at sessions?
Customers first pop in for a consultation and patch test, designed to ensure suitability. Once this has been confirmed, the treatment can be performed in a session lasting around 60 minutes.
What about recovery?
Recipients of the treatment are likely to experience minor swelling of the targeted area, but this should fade over the following couple of days. The area also initially looks darker in colour than the final result, which takes a few days to appear.
Clients should not apply fake tan or shave for at least 24 hours before the treatment.
